Welcome to the website of the Tissue Engineering Lab in the Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh.

The laboratory focuses on four areas: nerve regeneration, adipose stem cell biology, cartilage repair and soft tissue reconstruction. Dr. Kacey Marra is the laboratory director and PI on the nerve and cartilage projects. Dr. J. Peter Rubin is co-director of the Adipose Stem Cell Center, and PI on the soft tissue project. Both Drs. Marra and Rubin are directors of an adipose bioreactor project. The lab currently has 15 members.
